  • ORGANIZED ON THE BASIS OF THE BOLSHEVIK WING OF THE RUSSIAN SOCIAL DEMOCRATIC WORKERS' PARTY WHICH WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1903. IN 1918 BECAME THE RULING PARTY OF RUSSIA AND RENAMED AS ALL-RUSSIAN COMMUNIST PARTY. IN 1925 RENAMED AS ALL-UNION COMMUNIST PARTY. IN 1952 RENAMED AS COMMUNIST PARTY OF THE SOVIET UNION. PARTY ACTIVITIES WERE SUSPENDED IN 1991.
